Just the opposite, in fact. Sonny is going to have to work for this one..and there is no guarantee he will succeed." "Luke is going to have to address not only his own parenting failures, but who he is, and what that role model has meant for his kids." "We've got a couple of new Wards coming on...so that's going to give us a couple of new love interests." ~~~ Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina) explains her character's viewpoint regarding her relationship in SID, "Kiefer loves her so much and she loves him, so she tries to put out of her mind the way he treats her sometimes. She doesn't want to see her boyfriend as 'that' kind of person. She blames herself and thinks that next time, she won't do anything to set him off, that it will be different, that it will get better. But it doesn't...Sonny is one of the reasons that Kristina sticks it out with Kiefer. When she saw her Dad at the Metro Court, acting towards Claudia that way, she stepped back and thought, 'Maybe this relationship that Kiefer and I have is normal'. She thinks that maybe this is what a relationship is supposed to be like. Things will get worse with Kristina and Kiefer before they get better. She runs to Kiefer's bed after an emotional run in with Sonny where she wishes that he wasn't her father. Kiefer comes back for more, but she shuts him down and he unleashes his fury. Kristina doesn't see it coming." Kristina attempts to end things with Keifer, he doesn't take it well. Ethan happens along and both he and Keifer are caught with an unconscious Kristina. Both will be suspects in her beating but Keifer manipulates Kristina into pointing the finger at Ethan. Sam doesn't buy Kristina's version of events. ~~~ The biggest obstacle in what Dominic has to do is Michael...The moment he slaps the cuffs on Sonny is huge. Who's going to react and how? Sonny can't kill Dominic once he finds out he's his own son." --Dominic Zamprogna, Daily  Nik remains determined to make his relationship with Liz work. Carly walks out on Jax with Josslyn and Morgan in tow. Kiefer's abuse of Kristina takes a more serious turn. Lucky will tell Liz what he thinks of her as a mother; then he walks away from both her and the boys.  Week of February 8th 2/8 Sonny learns that Dante lied about the shooting to protect
Michael, Morgan and Kristina. Olivia rips into Sonny. Carly finds Sonny, filled with remorse, in the chapel. Jason wants to know Dante's intentions regarding Sonny. Liz's attempt to reach out to an inebriated Lucky goes badly. 2/9 Despite Ronnie's urging, Dante refuses to finger Sonny for the shooting. Sonny believes he can have a relationship with Dante, despite Jason's warnings that Dante can still destroy him. Johnny pushes Lucky's buttons and gets an unexpected reaction. Lucky gains new insight into Luke. 2/10 Daddy Zacchara is delighted when he gets a visit from Johnny to discuss him taking over the family business. Liz sobs in Jason's arms at Kelly's. Helena pays Nikolas a surprise visit. Robin and Patrick miss their sex life. 2/11 Sonny tries to rationalize his life to a disinterested Dante. Rayner threatens Dante's badge if he refuses to tell the whole truth about the shooting. Michael confesses. Johnny remains determined to get back at Sonny. Robin and Patrick's romantic rendezvous in the supply closet is foiled by Lisa when she arranges for Epiphany to interrupt them. 2/12 Liz travels to the church where she and Lucky exchanged vows as teens. Sonny is willing to sacrifice himself. Jason confronts Michael. Jax comes across a startling sight. Lucky's drinking and downward spiral intensifies. His anger takes a potentially lethal turn when he nearly shoots Johnny. Ronnie accuses Olivia of choosing Sonny over Dante. Dante confides in Lulu that he is struggling with the idea of being the son of a mobster. He continues to be furious with his mother for concealing the truh all his life. Mac offers Dante a job at the PCPD with conditions. (Dante is not to be involved in any investigations related to the Corinthos organization.) Michael is on a mission to confess to the authorities. Too bad Mac doesn't believe him. Johnny is relieved to learn he won't be killed for knowing about Dante and keeping it from Sonny and Jason. Instead, Jason cuts him out of the Corinthos organization. Johnny's behavior leaves Oliva perplexed. Johnny makes his move in true Zacchara style.
Jax catches Carly in a compromising position: in Sonny's arms. Maxie has a few things to say to Liz, and Lulu isn't finished with her yet, either. Jason and Liz discuss Jake and the impact of her actions upon his life. Lucky clashes with Jason. Liz is overwhelmed with guilt, but it begins to go beyond that...she begins to hallucinate. After a discussion with Ethan, Lucky realizes that some of the blame for his breakup with Liz is his own. Lucky discovers a seemingly lifeless Elizabeth suffering from hypothermia at the chapel Sonny tries to explain himself to Dante. Sonny orders Jason not to make any moves against Dante. Sonny insists on taking the fall for Michael. Johnny and Olivia have a war of words. When Carly decides she is going to move in with Jason, Jax offers to move out of the house if it will keep the kids out of harms way. Week of February 15th 2/15 Lucky rescues Liz from freezing to death. Sonny wants to clear the air with Olivia. Jax airs his frustrations to Carly. 2/16 Lulu is not interested in playing Sonny's go-between with Dante. Kelly gives Liz the news that she is pregnant while Lucky and Nikolas are present. Molly and Kristina are thrilled to spy Mac and Alexis making out. 2/17 Steven, Nikolas and Lucky agree that the best place for Liz right now is Shadybrook. Sonny finds his legal problems going from bad to worse. Dante and Olivia are forced to testify against Sonny. 2/18 Nikolas tells Lucky he plans to propose to Elizabeth. Carly goes to visit Dante in order to help Sonny Jason tries to talk some sense into Sonny. 2/19 Johnny wants Sonny to suffer. Lucky and Maxie have a fender-bender. Mac and Alexis grow closer. Jax tells Carly he needs to move on from their marriage. Elizabeth reaches her breaking point. Sonny faces off with Olivia. Nikolas professes his love for Elizabeth. Johnny's determined to get revenge on Sonny. Molly and Kristina do up the penthouse for Valentine's on behalf of Jason and Sam. Lucky tells Helena to back off of Liz. Olivia and Carly clash over Dante. Robin tries to enable Dante to see Sonny through her eyes.
Thanks to Lisa, Robin learns there is something else her hubby has
kept from her. Wedding bells...for Sam and Jason? You bet! What will Dante do when he realizes that Michael, not Sonny, was responsible for Claudia's death? Despite their troubles, Jax and Carly remain in love with each other, which makes their difficulties even more challenging. Each believe they are doing the right thing for their children. February 24th is the kick off date for United States v. Sonny Corinthos, for the murder of Claudia Zacchara. Jax may end up moving into the guesthouse. Carly supports Sonny during his trial. Jax turns the tables on Carly, Josslyn could be caught in the middle.
Jason doesn't think its a good idea for Carly to move in with him. For a second time, Liz appears to be trying to kill herself. This time she commits herself to Shadybrook. Liz is pregnant! Sam has a disturbing memory. Illness strikes a child. As previously mentioned on our News page, James Franco is not quite done with his stint on GH. He brought his own crew to the set. The results will be displayed as an art show at Deitch Projects in New York City in May, which will in turn become another episode of GH. Franco explains that, “We’re going to bring some of the [GH] cast out and we’ll film one more meta-episode at Deitch Projects." (Quote: Access Hollywood) "Johnny is going to become prominent in ways that complicate things for Olivia. He is going to take steps to resurrect a lifestyle for himself to get revenge on what was done to his sister." To that end, Johnny will join up with, "somebody who is on the canvas now and is adrift but will turn out to be as useful to Johnny, as Jason is to Sonny". --Guza, SID Lucky puts himself in the line of fire. In fact, he nearly shoots Johnny! Lisa takes Patrick's encouragement and praise to mean far more than he intends. In the wake of his family crisis, Morgan reaches out to Dante. After the Dante/Sonny reveal, Jason worries that Jake will one day hate him, too. Look for a non-mob related story for Jason and Sam (a Sam-focused story). According to Guza, "There's a huge development in this story that puts Liz over the edge. Lucky will be there to heal her, but will have trouble forgiving her. To complicate things further, Helena comes to town to stir the pot." Lisa ensures that Robin and Patrick's "display of affection" at the hospital is made public. Michael tries to confess to Claudia's murder, but he will not be believed. Jason gives Liz some words regarding Jake. Mac is under pressure from above. Lisa will serve as a sounding board for Sonny. Edward's great granddaughter, Maya (a Ward) and her half sister, Zoe, (who is slated to become Michael's love interest) arrive in Port Charles. See old casting call info on Zoe on our News page for character description. Maya is a first year intern. Dante saves Lucky's job when he messes up bigtime. Ethan is arrested for assault, but is eventually cleared by Kristina. Michael meets a member of the Ward family. Carly kicks Jax to the curb. Jax has trouble with Morgan. Patrick senses something is off with Robin. (Lisa will have a hand in this, literally.) Matt continues to sense something is amiss with Lisa. Mac and Alexis have a conflict of "business ethics", when Alexis steps up to defend Sonny. Luke is subjected to the fall out of Sonny's legal troubles. Jason will have real difficulty dealing with the aftermath of Franco, and his inability to protect those he loves. Franco's knowledge of Michael's hand in the death of Claudia remains a threat even after he is gone. Both Sam and Kristina may be in need of Ethan's help. Sonny wants Lulu to play the part of ambassador for him with Dante. Liz pushes Nikolas away after the reveal. Lulu and Dante will try to save Lucky from himself. Helena is thrilled that Liz has brought out the Cassadine in Nikolas. Maxie suggests that Spin live with her (and Lulu).
Liz will learn the hard way that you, "Don't know what you got (till its gone)". Mac and Alexis' relationship deepens. Dante will be stunned to learn that something he always believed to be true...isn't. Corruption unleashed. Dante's dilemma...does he let Sonny take the fall for Michael? Sonny will be proud to learn that Dante is his son. When her manipulations of Patrick fail, Lisa will take another, rather "unhealthy" route to get what she wants. Lisa's games affect hospital business. Guza is working to get other soap and movie stars on GH for short stints. Look for the older items remaining in this section to come to fruition in early 2010. Dante has concerns for Sonny's mental health. Sonny turns away from Olivia. Michael tries to step up for his father, but its against Sonny's wishes. Ethan wrongly bears the brunt of displaced anger when Kristina, who is so ashamed and unable to see her abuser as wrong, lies about who was responsible for putting her in the hospital. Luke and Tracy stand behind Ethan, while Sonny and Alexis stand behind Kristina. Luke recognizes something familiar about the situation. The situation with Lisa could turn into a case of Fatal Attraction. Alexis errs in trusting Keifer over Ethan. Michael's behavior worsens after the Dante reveal. Sonny and Alexis are forced to confront their parenting skills. Ethan may feel a bit displaced by Lucky in Luke's eyes. Once Dante's paternity is revealed it will affect Luke and Sonny's relationship even more. Neither man wants their offspring dating the other's. Quartermaine history will come to the forefront as the Wards are resurrected in a new form! This will reset the Quartermaine's, particularly Edward. Look for the older items mentioned below to begin to roll out soon.
Patrick rejects Lisa's overt affection. ~ "Liz's affair with Nik will take her over the edge". "Dante will find himself in a position to destroy Sonny and Michael's life. He'll struggle whether to uphold the law." [Once the truth comes out about Dante], "Lulu will see what it's like to date a guy Luke is not fond of" [Jason and Sam's romance heats up after the Franco story] "We are invested in this couple & plan to explore all stages." --Guza, SID, 2010 Previews ~ In March, look for Valentin Cassadine to add fuel to the fire between brothers, and he will use Liz to do it. The "search" for Sam's father begins in 2010. Alexis confides in Luke about her concerns regarding Kristina and Ethan's growing closeness. Ethan assures Luke that Rebecca is the only girl for him, and he and Kristina are only friends. Robin's medical career is threatened. CSI Robin continues. Lisa has a secret that will impact Patrick. Despite Jason's efforts, Michael's interest in the mob does not wane. He will look to find a way to prove himself worthy of joining his father's biz. Sonny's two oldest sons will become rivals. Alexis reexamines her choices in men and its impact on hr daughters. Alexis' love life should pick up by early 2010. Mr. and Mrs Smith... (aka Jason and Sam). Alexis will need to wear her best legal eagle shoes. Kristina finally gets the help she needs. Kiefer may pay for his abuse of Kristina with his life. Kristina's troubles brings up the issue of Sam's birthfather. Kristina gets in over her head. Alexis re-lives her past and in a way so does Kristina, but her story will end quite differently than her mother's. A choice is taken out of Kristina's hands. Valentin Cassadine makes his first appearance just in time to use Liz for his own devices. (the recurring role is to be played by Matthew Borlenghi , see News) Robin and Patrick seek out Matt's help in unraveling a new mystery. Someone warns Alexis about Kiefer. The situation involving Kiefer and Kristina becomes dangerous. Lucky gets a hookup of his own. Alexis is surprised by a face from the past, and the dreams that follow. The repercussions from Liz and Nikolas' "complicated" relationship are far from over... watch for things to hit the fan. Kiefer and Kristina will be involved in a storyline highlighting the problem of teen dating abuse. Austin-based, Loveisrespect, National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline (NTDAH) is acting as an expert advisor on the GH storyline. Kristina will experience what many teens are experiencing in real life, and be confused by the roller coaster relationship.
