Nancy Lee Grahn is full of optimism regarding the head writer switch. Rumorville: Word is that it was General Hospital's Executive Producer, Jill Farren Phelps, rather that ABC Daytime head Brian Frons, who was the bearer of the bad news to Guza. Supposedly, Guza stormed out of the ABC offices right then and there. This may be where the, "effective immediately", came from in the ABC press release regarding the change in head writers, as well as the lack of public thank you's for Guza's contributions to the show.

Rumorville: It's possible. Apparently there is a casting call out for someone who fits Brenda's
description, for one day only, at the end of Franco's storyline... There are also rumors that Brenda may be part of a fall storyline Guza has in the works.
