ABC Refusing to Sell?

Rumorville: Rumors are growing stronger that ABC has received offers from other networks to purchase All My Children and One Life To Live and has declined to sell both shows. This, despite their previous, public, assurances that they would be more than willing to sell the two productions. If true, the question is why?

Some say it is because they don't want egg on their face should these shows go on to success elsewhere. Others say that they want to keep the shows (OLTL in particular) ...
