GH: More Returns?

Rumorville: Jon Lindstrom's (ex-Kevin Collins / Ryan Chamberlain, GH) real-life girlfriend, Cady McClain (Dixie, AMC), made an interesting tweet, "A little bird just told me GH is bringing back some fan favorites. Who will return, I wonder?"

Was Cady referring to her former AMC co-star, Robin Mattson's upcoming return to GH (see our News page), or could she have been hinting that Doc Kevin was making a return? And what of his significant TV other, Lynn Herring (Lucy)?

Here is a bit of completely unconfirmed gossip from the land of Rumorville, word is that although the audition script (mentioned in our previous item entitled, "Recast?") sounds exactly like the role of Michael Corinthos, GH isn't recasting Michael, but instead is casting a "new Spinelli-like young character who is a mini Jason Morgan". Make of that what you will.

GH: Frisco Returns?

Rumorville: As many of you have already heard, Jack Wagner's contract with The Bold and The Beautiful is not being renewed. Now comes word from his B&B co-star Hunter Tylo that, " I think he is over in April -- then he will go to GH.".

GH: To Primetime?

Rumorville: An article in TVGuide suggests the possibility of a Primetime move for General Hospital, should it lose a spot in daytime. Apparently, one scenario being discussed has the show continuing as a short-run, (at least initially) experimental, tele-nova series, according to one ABC insider. Supposedly, the cost would be relatively low, comparatively, for a scripted show-- even if production costs were doubled. Meanwhile, the new Exec.Producer and Headwriter team of GH plan to do everything they can to ensure that General Hospital remains an integral part of Daytime television.

GH: Recast?

Rumorville: Those of you who follow our News Page know there is a new casting call out there. I have already said in the Spoilerholic thread in our forum that it was most likely a male. I have now seen the side and the fact is that the role of "Erik" sounds suspiciously similar to the role of Michael Corinthos, currently occupied by Chad Duell. Oh...and in this version, "Jason" agrees to allow "Erik" to join to mob. See our GH News Page for a link to the audition script.

GH: OLTL Stars to GH?

Rumorville: It seems that SID is hearing some of the same rumors that have been circulating on the net, that Michael Easton (Detective John McBain, OLTL; Caleb, Port Charles) and Ted King (Tomas, OLTL, both Alcazar brothers, GH) may be headed to GH in January. Tentative dates heard on the net have Easton beginning to tape on January 12, and King on the 25th. At this point, gossip has it that neither role is long term (at least yet),with Easton said to be coming for a six month stint.

SID said that most likely Easton will appear in his detective character from OLTL. No word if King would pick up his Alcazar connections or come on as Tomas but the latter is most likely. Stay tuned to see if there is any truth to these rumors or to see if any other OLTL characters may show up on GH (hint, hint). Hopefully, this would bring OLTL viewers to GH. New eyes and more ratings could only bode well for GH's potential staying power.

Rumorville: Carolyn Hinsey, longtime soap opera editor/columnist and author, had the following to say on her facebook page:

"WARNING: Anyone who posts here that another soap is being cancelled will be blocked. Trust me: Frank [Valentini] and Ron [Carvilati] are not uprooting their lives to move to LA without a long term promise and the time they need to fix General Hospital. I know a LOT more than you do. So save it, losers."

GH: What May Be Ahead

Rumorville: Word is that Sam will have a medically complicated pregnancy.

The Franco/Jason/Sam storyline should be resolved very soon.

After the tragedy surrounding Abby, Michael loses it. Supposedly, this will give (NU)Kristina the impetus to return to Port Charles.

Look for Liz and Matt to grow closer still. It doesn't appear that Ewen will be a romantic option for Liz at this time.

Liz will be there for Patrick when he needs a friend.

Ewen will be part of Lulu and Dante's story, among others.

Its possible we will see Morgan pop up again later this winter.

Things are looking more positive for Nathan Parsons (Ethan) to stick around for the long haul to play out his story with the Lady in White, which is said to be continuing under the new team.

Wyndemere may become even MORE occupied.

Look for (new headwriter) Ron Carvilati's material to begin airing in time for February Sweeps.

GH: Possible Robert Return

Rumorville: No confirmation, but gossip has it that that Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) may make a two to three month return as part of Robin's (Kimberly McCullough) exit storyline. This seems to go along with a hint yours truly heard (but never repeated) around the time Tristan exited from the Y&R. So keep your fingers crossed! (Can we expect to hear of other potential returns as well?)

Ethan may soon be Occupying Wyndemere... as its caretaker.

Dante has no choice but to arrest Jason.

Hearing that Andrea Bogart may be exiting GH. Seems anvils of Abby's demise are already dropping.

Jax helps Sonny out, but not on purpose.

Liz may ask someone surprising to help with her children.

GH: Christmas Goodies

Rumorville: Expect a Christmas Party that will take several episodes to get through.

Dante, Lulu, Robin, Patrick, Johnny, Spinelli, Maxie, Matt, Jason, Sam will be among those in attendance. Expect Liz to make an appearance as well.

Unfortunately, it appears that Lulu will be taking on way too much holiday cheer in the form of booze during the party.
Ethan has his fair share too.

Spinelli continues to patiently court Maxie...perhaps waiting for her to tire herself out (with Matt)?

Robin feels ill during the party. (We will come to find out she is sick...but from what?)
However, before that she and Patrick, as well as Matt and Maxie enjoy themselves at the party.

Something Shawn does or says results in Jason losing his temper and creating yet another scene, upsetting everyone around him. Sam will eventually be able to calm him down. She will be both annoyed and concerned by yet another display of "anger Jason".

Lulu and Dante enjoy picking out their Xmas tree together.

Liz and Matt continue to spend some time together.

In spite of his own issues, Jason remains supportive of Sam, giving her another gift.
As previously rumored, Sam finds out she is pregnant before Christmas, much to Spinelli's comical delight (this will not be a who's the daddy story).

Patrick will be at Robin's side during a very difficult time. In fact, he will be so devoted, he may end up... shot?

Will he, or won't he? Renew his contract that is. Just as Nathan Parsons' character, Ethan, is embarking upon a front burner storyline, his contract comes up for renewal in early 2012. In a recent issue of TVGuide, Parsons admits, "The timing's not the best," he says. "I guess we'll have to sit down and talk." Is he yearning for greener, (aka prime-time pastures) or merely playing the ritualistic negotiation game of cat and mouse?

GH: Going Dexter?

Rumorville: The latest gossip has General Hospital taking on a Dexter-esque type storyline. Supposedly, a popular GH character is going to turn out to be a serial killer (!) who has been attending to his or her "hobby", unbeknownst to the Port Charles citizens (and viewers) for years! Being a Dexter fan myself, if done right, this is a story I could definitely get into.

Just something to keep in the back of your mind.

Meanwhile, don't look for Lucky to make a particularly dramatic exit. It looks like he may take his leave of Port Charles by way of paying Laura a visit, off screen.
